Planned
activates for 2005.
HAERDO plans to implement more
projects related to education,
health and public awareness raising.Specifically,
HAERDO hopes to undertake the
following activities:
· Assessing the needs of
some selected schools in the Hargeisa
and Hawd and the rehabilitation
of some of the schools previously
assessed.
· Procuring blankets, mattresses
and beds for Salahley Schools and
distributing these to the students.
· Making Bali-Matan school
fully operational.
· Completing the rehabilitation
work on Labi-sagaala school.
· Deliberating on ways
to establishing a library for
students in Mohamud Haybe district,
Hargeisa.
· Contacting donors for
sponsoring some of the implemented
projects by the organization.
· Launching general awareness
raising campaign against HIV/Aids,
FGM and environmental degradation
in selected villages.
Funds for these activities are
envisaged to be raised through
the contribution of members.However,
attempts will be made to approach
donors both in the country and
abroad to sponsor some of the
projects. In fact, some funds
are already being secured for
some of the planned activities.
